Plant Description and Details
Graceful and petite, Blue Grama is a fascinating texture in the native landscape. It could star as an accent in a flowerbed or naturalized meadow setting. Its unique seed heads are held horizontally from the stem. They look a bit like bushy eyebrows, and wave in the breeze. Left to itself, the original plant bunch will spread to form a thick patch. Thus it makes a good low-water lawn alternative. Performs nicely paired with Buffalo Grass (Buchloe dactyloides) for a low-water, low-maintenance turf.
