Plant Description and Details

Sprigs of dusty-green foliage support delicate, ethereal blue flowers, each one lasting just a day. Blossoms each take a turn, progressing up the stem from late spring to mid-summer. Easy to establish and self-seeding. Related to the nutritionalsupplement type of Flax seed, Blue Flax seed was relished by Native Americans. Distinct round seed pods follow flowers and make an interesting beaded display for weeks.
