Plant Description and Details

Multiple-flowered stalks decorate this desert native in late spring, bringing color to an otherwise barren landscape. The basal leaves are smooth, thick, light green, and leathery to conserve moisture, and taper to a pointed tip, the cause for the name"acuminatus."
