Plant Description and Details

Found in a wide variety of locations throughout the western states, Littleleaf Mockorange stands out because of its orange-scented white spring blossoms.  It is a more drought-tolerant miniature of the related Philadelphus lewisii, Lewis' Mockorange.  The shrub grows into a dense, fine-leaved column in the full sun, but a shady planting spot will create a taller, more open form as it stretches to find sun.  The soft green leaves create a pleasant, fine-textured look you may wish to showcase.
