Plant Description and Details
Low-lying leaves form the base for tall stems with bright yellow flowers which sway in the breeze. Appearing aerodynamic, the petals stream downwards and the center disk flowers point up in a tall column, as if rockettingtoward the sky. Provides moderate competition to surrounding species. Mildly self-promotes via seed to other areas of the landscape. Native Americans used medicinally and also as yellow dye material.
