Currans Family – Hannah, Levi, Hillary, Rebecca, Sean
Rugged Country Plants is a Currans family business dedicated to bringing to market the beautiful hardy and waterwise native plants of Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah. We aim to produce the highest quality native plants possible by following best management practices. Our liners have larger caliper, are hardier and transplant better because we use larger 15 cubic inch containers, we grow in direct sun and produce only one summer crop annually, we fertilize carefully, top prune in season and naturally harden the plants off in the fall. You can expect the best from Rugged Country Plants.

We started growing native plant liners for planting in the Conservation Riparian Enhancement Program of the USDA—Natural Resource Conservation Service. We are now making these high quality liners available to the private sector to meet the increasing demand for Intermountain West natives. Our plants will thrive in many local environments from Winthrop, Washington to Blanding, Utah and from Whitefish, Montana to Reno, Nevada. Check your local native plant society lists for nativity in your locale or call us.

Sean is General Manager and Chief Botanist, Rebecca is Seed Specialist, Hannah is Sales Manager, Hillary is Office Manager and Levi is Operations Manager.
